This client wanted a new showy cocktail ring.  The design process began when she chose this pink tourmaline, from a selection of 8 other larger stones that included, aquamarine, blue topaz, green tourmalines, and zircons.

I presented a few sketches for this oval pink tourmaline.  Some were more traditional, and others were a bit more modern.  This design displays the gemstone in a semi-bezel for a bit of added protection, with a slight twist that gives it a modern look.
