The mineral group know as corundum, comes in a rainbow of colours.  Did you know that the red variety of sapphire is known as ruby?  All the other colours are known as sapphire. 

Over the years these different shaped and coloured sapphires, including one ruby, were received as gifts.  The setting style was chosen to show off their beautiful individual colours, yet there is still an unity to the collection as a whole. The colour of the gold was chosen to compliment the colour of the gemstone.  The unique texture was added to give depth to the piece and create a little extra interest.
