The History Of This Piece

Make it Yours! Designing an emerald pendant.

During the design process,  the client first decided on the square radiant shape for her emerald. Secondly,  I presented the client with a selection of emeralds within her budget range.  I showed her several emeralds that varied in size, clarity, and hue which included subtle differences in saturation and tone. During the selection process, I highlighted the finer qualities of each stone and explained what characteristics were more valuable and desirable in the industry. To fit her budget, she chose a stone with a little less intensity of colour but a higher clarity.  (There is no right or wrong decision when choosing a gemstone.  I will guide you to make sure you are getting the best value and a great gemstone but it truly comes down to the gemstone that speaks to you.)  Next, I created a pencil sketch to scale to show size and design. From there, a computer-assisted design (CAD) was created from the pencil sketch that I provided.  The result was a stunning emerald pendant that will be cherished for generations.
